Who we are

What ReadyAt does
ReadyAt helps you cook several dishes so they finish at the same time. You tell it the cooking instructions for each dish, by photographing packaging or a recipe, pasting a recipe link, or typing them, choose when you want to eat, and it builds a timeline and reminds you of each step.
What we collect, and why
Kept only on your device, never sent to us
- Your meals, dishes, timelines, favourites and history.
- Your kitchen profile (oven shelves, air-fryer baskets, hob rings) and display preferences.
- A local log of how you use the app (which screens and actions), used to improve the product. The log stays on the device; you can view, copy or clear it in Settings.
Sent to our extraction service only when you use those features
- Photos you scan. When you photograph packaging or a recipe, or choose a photo, the image is sent to our extraction service so the printed instructions can be read. Our service passes the image to an AI model through a model-routing gateway and Cursor's model service, which use models from third-party providers. We do not keep the photo after the response is returned, and our service does not write photos or page text to its logs. The gateway and model providers process the image to produce the response under their own terms.
- Recipe links you paste. The link is sent to our service, which fetches the page and passes its text to the same model route. We do not keep the page.
- Demo scans use built-in sample cards and send nothing.
Every value the model reads is shown to you for checking before it joins a meal. ReadyAt never changes cooking times or temperatures.
We do not collect
Your name, e-mail address, location, contacts, or any account. ReadyAt has no sign-in.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, ReadyAt schedules reminders on your device for each cooking step. These are local; no notification data leaves the phone.
Crash and performance data
If the app crashes or hits an error, a report is sent to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), our crash-reporting provider. A report contains the device model, operating-system version, app version and the technical stack trace. It contains no photos, no screenshots, no meal content and no personal identifiers; we have disabled Sentry's personal-data collection. Sentry's policy: sentry.io/privacy.
Advertising
A few ads keep ReadyAt free. They appear in two places only: a small banner on the home screen and, occasionally, a full-screen ad after a meal is finished. Ads stay small while you cook..
Ads are served by Google AdMob. For users in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and Switzerland the provider is Google Ireland Limited; elsewhere it is Google LLC. We request non-personalised ads only. To choose and count ads and to detect fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK receives your IP address, a coarse location derived from it, your device type and operating-system version, the app name and version, and a per-request identifier. We do not ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites, and we do not send Google anything about your meals, photos or recipes.
In the UK, EU and other regulated regions Google's consent form is shown before the first ad; you can decline and still use every feature, and you can change your choice at any time from Settings → Ad privacy options. How Google uses this data: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Legal basis (UK and EU)
Processing the photos and links you submit is necessary to provide the feature you asked for (performance of a contract). Crash reporting is our legitimate interest in keeping the app working. Advertising in regulated regions is based on your consent, given or refused in Google's consent form. Notifications and camera access are governed by your device permissions and can be withdrawn at any time in the operating-system settings.
Where data is processed
Our extraction service runs on a server in the European Union. The model-routing gateway and the model providers behind it may process requests outside the EU and UK, including in the United States. Sentry and Google process their data in the United States and other countries under their own safeguards.
Retention
We keep nothing from a scan or a link after the response is returned. Crash reports are kept by Sentry for 90 days. Meals, history and preferences stay on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you on our servers, requests to access or delete your data are fulfilled by clearing the app's data on your device (Settings → Reset) or by uninstalling. To withdraw or change advertising consent, use Settings → Ad privacy options. For anything else, including the rights you have under UK and EU data-protection law, contact readyat@scinops.com.
Children
ReadyAt is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 in the European Union.
